Rowing crews gain experience at Wallingford Head
December 1st 2021
The Boat Club took three eights to compete at the Wallingford Head on Sunday.
The sun shone to brighten up what was a chilly morning on the River Thames. It was an exciting first sweep race for the J16 girls against a competitive field of eleven crews. The girls produced an encouraging row to place sixth in the event.
In the afternoon two Senior boys’ crews raced in the U23 eights division and coming in fifth and sixth in their event. It was a useful experience for the crews to gauge their progress against a strong field and help motivate a productive training routine until their next big fixture in February.
