Students from around the county who signed up to STEM Potential in 2020 have completed two years of the outreach programme run by Shrewsbury School in collaboration with Imperial College, London.

They have been wonderfully engaged throughout and a pleasure to teach – both during the lockdown when the programme was delivered remotely, and this year on site on Saturdays.

It’s a fantastic moment for both the School, to have our small pilot cohort graduate from the programme, and for the students from the Grove School and Marches School who participated - a handful are pictured below getting their Imperial/Shrewsbury STEM Potential certificates. We wish them all the best with their GCSE examinations! The STEM Potential programme will continue next year, with some students staying on as they move into A Level study, as well as the whole Year 10 cohort of 24 students (below) moving through into their GCSE year.

Recruitment for the next Year 10 and 12 cohorts is ongoing and the application window closes on 11th June. Details can be found on our website.Mr Wray
