Over the coach weekend seven crews travelled to London to take part in the Fours Head of the River.

The event saw close to five hundred crews tackling the 6.8km Championship course on the Tideway from Chiswick Bridge to Putney Bridge.

The event sees crews from around the country racing and provides a great chance for the pupils to see some of the GB Senior rowers out on the water competing in the same event.

All seven crews coped well with the unfamiliar stretch of water for many of them to record some encouraging results so early in the season.

The Senior boys placed 6th and 19th in the coxed four, 9th in the coxless four and 24th (of 39) in the quad.

The Senior girls placed an impressive 4th in the coxed four and 16th and 38th in the quad.
