Four Shrewsbury crews raced at the North of England Head in Chester over the coach weekend.
All four crews gave a strong account of themselves over the 5000m course of the River Dee.
The Senior Boys 1st VIII raced in J18 Eights in the morning division and put pressure on the Kings Chester crew that went off ahead of them. The crews had some combative racing over the length of the course with the 1st VIII coming away with an encouraging win by six seconds.
