Olympic Rower shares career insights at annual Boat Club Dinner

The annual Boat Club Dinner was held on Saturday evening and welcomed Olympic Champion Harry Brightmore to Shrewsbury.

The dinner provided the Boat Club the perfect opportunity to gather together and celebrate the achievements of the past year, show appreciation to the coaches who have supported the club and set collective sights to make the most of the season ahead.

We were honoured to be joined by our guest speaker for the dinner, Harry Brightmore. Harry is the current Assistant Coach at Oxford University and the reigning European, World and Olympic Champion Cox from the Great Britain Men’s Eight. It was amazing to hear Harry share insights of some of the factors that played a role in his crew reaching the top step of the podium in Paris 2024.
