Perfect conditions at pre-Christmas rowing camp in Spain
Over the first week of the December holiday 26 Senior and J16 rowers travelled to Spain to get some valuable water time on the river Minho.
The crews got out on the water twice a day with the chance to get some quality training time along with revision, rest and relaxation after the long Michaelmas Term. The fantastic food and accommodation at the Laias Caldaria Hotel Balneario provided the perfect location to get the best out of the week.
The weather conditions were perfect for rowing and the only disturbance on the mirror flat water caused by the crews and the launches plying their trade. The final day saw Christmas hats make an appearance for a one last long paddle before the return journey.
It was fantastic to see the tangible progress made by all who attended. Thank you to Mr Clark and Mr Ralley for towing the boats to and from Spain.
