On Saturday 13th May the Seniors girls attended Nottingham City Regatta.

The 4+ of Eleanor B (EDH,LVI), Sophie W (EDH, LVI), Anni S (EDH, LVI), Anna B (EDH, UVI) and Kara H (MSH, V) were up early to compete in two divisions.

Narrowly coming second to Galway in the morning meant they were even more determined coming up against the same crew in the afternoon. They rowed an exceptional race, maintaining their composure and coming back from a length down to cross the line first and win the Women’s Coxed Four title.

The 2nd VIII was up next and won their heat with clear water. They were just piped to the win in the final by Lady Margaret in a very exciting race.

Finally, the coxless four of Alice C (G, UVI), Katie H (MSH, LVI), Amelia C (EDH, UVI), and Kitty S-P (M, UVI) finished the day by winning the Women’s Coxless Four event in very convincing fashion, more than 4 boat lengths ahead of the crew in second.

Overall, another successful day for the senior girl’s squad. We hope to continue this momentum as we build towards National Schools in two weeks’ time.
