Old Salopians at Henley Royal Regatta
It was an historic week for Old Salopian rowers at Henley Royal Regatta.
Grace Richards (G 2019-21) became the first female OS oarswoman to win at Henley when she crossed the finishing line with her Oxford Brookes University Boat Club crew. Louis Nares (I 2015-20) and Matt Rowe (SH 2015-17) also won their events racing for the same University Club.
There were plenty of Old Salopians on hand to support the RSSBC crews and members of the Sabrina Club rowing for various different clubs. The Sabrina Club organised two excellent lunches at Henley Cricket Club on Tuesday and Saturday. They provided an opportunity to catch up with current parents and other Old Salopians before heading into the Stewards Enclosure to watch the action on the river and enjoy surely one of the most picturesque sporting events in the world.
Many thanks to James Russell (PH 1990-95) and the Sabrina Club Committee for organising the catering at one of the highlights of the Salopian Club calendar.
