Non-Uniform Day raises money for two important charities
Students were given the opportunity to dress in their own clothes on Friday, May 14th, as part of a non-uniform day, to support two great charities Young Minds and World Land Trust.
Oscar H-R (R, UVI) and Kate V (G, IV) have put together a fantastic video detailing the reasons they have chosen Young Minds and World Lands Trust, and why these charities are so important to them.
Young Minds – The Praepostor’s have chosen the charity Young Minds on the back of their excellent Mental Health Awareness week. Young Minds is the UK’s leading mental health charity for young people with an ambitious strategy “to make sure every young person gets the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what”. Find out more at the website.
World Land Trust – The 4th form charities committee have chosen the charity World Land Trust. An ambitious environmental charity that provides emergency conservation action to the areas that need it most. The 4th form has chosen to donate the money raised to help securing over 8 acres of forest in Central and South America, to protect from Logging, Poaching, and ensuring a future for wildlife.
