The Shewsy welcomes Vicki Parker as new CEO
We are delighted to announce Vicki Parker as the new CEO of Everton-based youth and community charity Shrewsbury House.
Shrewsbury House – fondly known as The Shewsy - has served its community for more than 120 years since its founding by Shrewsbury School teachers in 1903.
Vicki will take on the role of CEO to continue and develop the meaningful work that takes place at the club.
Vicki is a seasoned leader in the voluntary sector with a background in social work, having previously worked in various roles with Child Services and most recently as the Head of Delivery for Frontline - England’s largest social work charity.
Vicki said: “Leading the continued development of The Shewsy is extremely exciting. To visit The Shewsy is to see how it positively impacts the lives of the children and people of West Everton. The long-standing bond between this community and Shrewsbury School, its pupils and alumni is at the very core of this. I look forward to strengthening and building on these mutually beneficial ties.”
Brought up on the Wirral, Vicki has a natural connection to the city of Liverpool and its people, and we are delighted that she will be joining The Shewsy in January 2025.
Vicki takes over from Steve Holroyd who has given two years excellent service to The Shewsy and the wider Everton community.
Leo Winkley, Headmaster of Shrewsbury School and Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Shewsy, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Vicki Parker as the new CEO of The Shewsy. Her exceptional leadership skills and unwavering dedication to the community of Everton make her the perfect fit to continue the vital work of The Shewsy, committing to the club’s motto ‘where people matter more than things’.
“We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will undoubtedly bring, and thank outgoing SEO Steve Holroyd for his incredible work at The Shewsy over the past two years.”
