Big Give Christmas Challenge returns to support The Shewsy
As part of this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge, from December 3rd to the 10th any money raised for The Shewsy is doubled by match-funding.
As The Big Give put it ‘One donation, twice the impact!’
The Big Give 2024 offers a chance to raise essential funds for The Shewsy, which we have supported since its founding by teachers from Shrewsbury School in 1903.
Our relationship with The Shewsy is one that we cherish – we regularly host children from the club at Shrewsbury, our Sixth Form pupils take opportunities to spend time at The Shewsy, and all our Third Form pupils undertake visits to learn about its history and understand the crucial role it plays in serving its community in Everton and the wider locality.
The funding will allow The Shewsy to develop the support they provide for their members, offer training to the older attendees and upgrade the internal spaces so that they can provide for their 300 members.
The Big Give is a fundraising effort which every year engages charitable giving trusts and foundations who will match pledged funds that the individual charity can secure. Once that process is complete then the individual charity seeks donations in a single week each year.
This year’s campaign starts next week – keep an eye on our socials from some special messages from the Shrewsbury community and our friends at The Shewsy as we help to raise money for the Big Give 2024.
