Strong performances from Salopian rowing crews at Stourport

On Sunday the Boat Club took fifteen crews to race at the Stourport Small Boats Head.

Unfortunately, due to the strong stream conditions the J15 events did not go ahead and the J15 squad will need to wait a little longer for their first official race.

It was however the first chance for our J16 boys and girls to compete at a formal event and both squads put in a strong team performance with the leading crew in the WJ16 4X and J16 4+ winning their respective events.

The senior boys took to the water in variety of events and recorded the fastest time of the day in the Open 4X- event. They also recorded wins in the Open 2-, Open 2X and Open Jnr 4+.

It was a successful day for the Club that kicks off a busy few weekends of racing with Fours Head, GB Trials, Wallingford Head and Wycliffe Small Boats Heads coming up over the next four weekends.
