1st Round Arthur Dunn Cup v Old Kimboltians

Old Salopians came out the blocks quickly in the first half .....

The Old Salopians came up against an old foe in the first round of the Dunn competition; Old Kimboltians who we had beaten in the Quarter Finals the previous season.  

This was a much changed team from last year's competition however, with a number of new faces in the side, it was the chance to start a new campaign. 

The Old Salopians came out the blocks quickly in the first half and dominated possession, playing some fast flowing football. Thanks to goals from Joe Chilaka and Jamie Humes, we were 3-0 up at half time. The 2nd half was much the same albeit there were a few heavy legs towards the end that let the opposition into the game a bit more. Thanks to a double penalty save from Tom Shaw (he was off his line the first time round), we managed to keep a clean sheet and finish the game 4-0.

We have a bye in the next round so are through to the Quarter Finals which will be played in the new year.
