Shrewsbury teacher lands Deputy Headship at Christ College Brecon

We are delighted for Mr Harry Mackridge who has been appointed as Deputy Head Academic at Christ College Brecon from September 2022.  

Mr Mackridge is the current Head of Academic Innovation at Shrewsbury School, having previously held the position of Head of History. 

"I'm very excited about taking up the post of Deputy Head (Academic) at Christ College Brecon in September 2022,” said Mr Mackridge. 

“I've had such a rewarding seven-year stint here at Shrewsbury as Head of History and, more recently, Head of Academic Innovation and have been lucky to work alongside two inspirational DHA's in Maurice Walters and Richard Kowenicki.  

“I'm looking forward to continuing my work in and beyond the classroom here at Shrewsbury for the next two terms and, thereafter, creating an academic link between two schools whose shared values and outlook resonate strongly with me." 

We wish Mr Mackridge all the very best for his future endeavours and hope to make his remaining time at Shrewsbury memorable and enjoyable, as he has done for our pupils.
