Music Third Form

Good news from the String Department this week as Third Formers Mia H (G) - Cello and Richard W (Rb) - Double Bass, have been accepted into the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain.

Competition to get into this Orchestra is always extremely high and these students have done very well to be accepted.

Congratulations also goes to Jacky C (Rt, LVI) who received the excellent news this week of passing his second level Violin diploma (LTCL) with a very fine Distinction mark. Jacky played a Mozart Concerto and Schubert Sonata in Hong Kong having studied a lot of the pieces online over Zoom.

David Joyce, Head of Strings, and Jacky's teacher was delighted with this news. "I am always so pleased to hear of great successes in the String Department. These young players achieve so much when they put their minds to ambitious goals!"

Mia and Richard will be working with the NCO in the Christmas holidays.
