Chamber Choir Reaches National Finals
We are proud to share some exciting news about the Shrewsbury School Chamber Choir.
Following our St Cecilia concert, the choir was entered into Barnardo’s National Choral Competition, and we are delighted to announce that we have been selected as finalists. This prestigious national competition had over 70 entries, with an incredibly high standard across the board, making our selection for the final a tremendous achievement.
The judges were full of praise for the choir’s performance, describing it as “interstellar glory!” Particular commendation was given to our ambitious rendition of Eriks Esenvalds Stars - which you can listen to here - and the lush harmonies throughout. The finals will take place at Birmingham Symphony Hall on March 4th, and we are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication shown by every member of the choir.
Congratulations to all involved – onwards to Birmingham!
