Co-Curricular Competition

On Sunday 20th March 2022, dancers from our Junior and Senior Dance teams attended their first ever competition.

The Much Wenlock Live Arts Festival, held at William Brooks School, is held in March every year and has been running since 1979. There were many dance schools attending from all over Shropshire and beyond.

Our teams performed two contemporary/jazz pieces. The senior piece, Run, Boy Run was inspired by the Hunger Games and involved Charlotte H (M, UVI), Georgina C (G, UVI), Issie U (G, UVI) and Mari A (EDH, LVI).

The junior piece was Down the Rabbit Hole, inspired by Alice in Wonderland and involved Meadow P (MSH, IV), Cordelia H (MSH, III), Puntharee S (MSH, IV) Faye P (G, III), Alice L (MSH, V), Clara G, (G, IV) and Will O’H (CH, III).

All the dancers performed really well and are now working hard towards the next competition.
