2024 Enterprising Futures Conference is the biggest event to date
The Third Form took part in the annual ‘Enterprising Futures Conference’ earlier this month, which was our largest activity of this type to date.
The event, which encourages pupils to think about skills and qualities they need to be successful in the workplace, was expertly delivered by fifteen visiting speakers, a mixture of former pupils, parents and friends of Shrewsbury School, all giving up their time to provide valuable guidance to the attendees.
As well as the entire third form cohort, it was fantastic to welcome in over 40 pupils from William Brookes, Hadley Learning Community and the Priory School, with pupils mixing well through the morning activities.
Since the event, the feedback from pupils has been superb:
- This event motivated me to start a business early without worries.
- I had lots of my questions answered and know more about how to start my own business.
- This inspired me to give my best efforts no matter what I do, ranging from school to sports.
- I found what the speakers were saying very moving and relatable.
- This conference taught me that no matter who you are, or where you are from, you can achieve greatness.
If you are interested in taking part in the 2025 event, which is pencilled in for Friday 2nd May, I would be delighted to hear from you. Details of all our amazing visiting speakers can be found in the brochure here.
