Join us for a weekend of music with St Cecilia Concerts

You are invited to this year’s St Cecilia Concerts as we celebrate the patron Saint of music.

The concerts will take place on Saturday and Sunday November 13th and 14th at 7.30pm in the Alington Hall. Your support for musicians young and old is greatly appreciated.

On Saturday, the Community Choir will perform Faure’s consoling Requiem to mark Remembrance weekend. The Gallic theme continues with a selection of French Songs, part of Widor’s Symphony 5 for organ and Corelli’s Christmas Concerto.

Sunday evening marks the Symphony Orchestra’s first concert for some time as they perform Schubert’s stunning Unfinished Symphony. Performances from the Wind Orchestra and Concert Band - playing rather beautiful music by Martin Ellerby and Hugh Stuart – complete the evening.
