Salopians selected for Shropshire Netball Academies
Two Moserites have been selected to join county netball academies.
Liv K (M, V) was selected to play for the Severn Stars Nova Academy, and Daisy P (M, III) was selected to play for the Shropshire Netball Academy.
Liv said: “I got advised to trial for Nova Academy from my Shropshire county coaches who coached me last year. I went to the trial and there were about 80 girls trialling and only 20 spaces were available, but I’m very glad that I got one.

“The training is every Friday for 3 hours. We start off the session with strength and conditioning and then move on to drills. It's very full on but I know that it will develop my skills and help me to become the best player I can be.
“I am most looking forward to playing matches against the other Nova Academy's as they will be tough matches, but hopefully all the training will have paid off and we will play our best netball.”
Daisy P said: “There were two rounds of trials the first trial started off with almost 90 girls which then got made into a smaller group of about 30 at the next trial now we are a squad of 20.

“We have only had one training session for county so far, but it was great fun and I got to meet a lot of new people who played at a great standard of netball. In academy I am most looking forward to training with new people, learning new things and becoming a better sports person.”
Congratulations Liv and Daisy.
