Shrewsbury International School architect offers pupils Cambodian gap year opportunity

An architect working on Shrewsbury International School, Phnom Penh is offering a gap year opportunity in Cambodia to Shrewsbury pupils. 

Harry Mann is the Managing Director of Future, the architectural firm working on the main campus at Shrewsbury International School, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.   

Harry visited Shrewsbury School this week to talk to our current pupils regarding his career to date and more generally about becoming an architect.  

As well as giving pupils an insight into his career, Harry is also offering our Sixth Form leavers a gap year work placement opportunity with his architectural company based in Cambodia.  

Matthew Bye, International Project Executive said it was a great example of the International Development Team, Futures Department and Academic staff working together to bring pupils such incredible opportunities.  

“I’m delighted that, because of the excellent relationship we have built with our Cambodian architectural company, we are able to offer the pupils this exciting opportunity. Harry has not only taken the time to visit Shrewsbury School to deliver a careers talk to our current pupils but has also offered the opportunity of a paid architectural work placement in Cambodia to Shrewsbury leavers,” said Matthew.  

Head of Futures Chris Wain added: “It’s great to be able to offer students opportunities like this and we’re very grateful to Harry for his support. We’re looking forward to working closely with the team in Cambodia to identify suitable students for this unique opportunity.”
