Shrewsbury
Outstanding football achievements for two Shrewsbury School girls
We are thrilled to celebrate the recent achievements of two of our talented female footballers, Lilly C-W (G, IV) and Olivia T-W (M, LVI), who have been excelling on the national stage.
After a recent trial process, Lilly secured a spot on the U15 Independent School Football Association’s Representative Team for the upcoming year. She has also been invited to participate in training camps with the U16 ISFA squad, giving her an exciting opportunity to further develop her skills alongside some top young players. In addition, Lilly impressed coaches at the Shropshire Schools & Colleges FA, earning her a place in the U16 Girls County team for the 2024/2025 season.
Olivia has also seen great success in her ISFA trials, and she has been selected to attend the final U18 trial camp in October. During the camp, players will participate in training sessions and internal matches, after which the final squad for the 2024/2025 season will be selected.
Both Lilly and Olivia will be training with the Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy over the next two weeks, further honing their skills and pushing their development.
We are immensely proud of their hard work and dedication and look forward to supporting them as they continue to pursue their footballing goals and represent Shrewsbury School at the national level.
