Talented young musicians wanted for Symphonic Shrewsbury

We are looking for talented young musicians to join our Symphonic Sundays programme.

Symphonic Sundays has been set up to support and nurture young talented musicians from the locality. The only entry requirement is that your child has taken Grade 3 on their instrument.

Following the success of last year, we are pleased to continue with Symphonic Sundays Sinfonia - an orchestra for young musicians working up to grade 3 level, as long as they can confidently play and read 5 notes. Rehearsals will be from 12-1 on the same dates in the Maidment below.

For the 2024/25 academic year we are planning the normal four Sunday sessions running from 2pm-5pm in the Maidment Building at Shrewsbury School. If your child is successful in gaining a place in the orchestra, our first rehearsal date will be:

Sunday 13^th October

Sunday 2nd March

Sunday 11^th May

Sunday 8^th June

In addition, we would like to host a Gala Concert on Sunday 15^th June in the Alington Hall.
