Pupils begin their musical journey at Shrewsbury in New Entrants' Concert
The end to Foundation Fortnight was certainly a celebrated in style with the New Entrants’ Concert on Saturday afternoon.
There were some spectacular performances from our eleven Music Scholars who engaged the audience with both musically and technically demanding repertoire, all of whom should be incredibly proud of their achievement. Making your debut to a full Alington Hall is a tough ask but our talented group of scholars did us proud!
Solo performances were given by:
Shawn L (S) – French Horn
Dominic T (SH) – Piano
Cornelius W (Ch) – Violin
Clara M (EDH) – Voice
Richard P (PH) – Flute
Angie K ( EDH) – Double Bass
Benedict F (Rb) – Oboe
Cormac T (R) – Voice / Piano
Barnaby W (R) – Trombone
Ranen C (SH) – Clarinet
Chelsey D (MSH) – Violin (Fourth form Music Scholar)
The concert finished this year in a slightly different way with the whole of the Third form performing one of The Beatles’, classics, ‘Let it Be’ accompanied by a Third form band in which they sang with enthusiasm and style, as a department we were delighted by their performance and look forward to many more during their five-year journey.
