We had a fantastic rehearsal with lots of enthusiastic young musicians at Symphonic Sunday.

Everyone worked so hard and we managed to play through six of our eight concert pieces in the full orchestra rehearsal which was amazing!

Our repertoire is really varied and covers many different styles and genres – the children really enjoy playing the chosen programme which includes, themes from James Bond and Harry Potter to the more classical, Egmont Overture and Theme from Romeo and Juliet to the more upbeat Havana and Dangerzone, which is definitely a hit!

The concert in June is going to be fabulous, tickets will be available to reserve on Ticket Source next week. It’s just so inspiring to have create a full symphony orchestra of young players, the enjoyment on their faces is wonderful to witness!

Our Gala Concert is Sunday 19th June at 4.00pm in the Alington Hall – put it in your diary, it’ll be a concert not to miss!

Assistant Director of Music
