Salopian musical talent on display at Junior Music Showcase
We were delighted to host the Junior Music Showcase on Monday evening to celebrate the breadth of talent through our Third and Fourth formers.
The soloists should be incredibly proud of their performances and it was lovely to hear the progress that they have made over the past year.
The concert ended with three ensemble performances from an array of different genres, starting with the Junior Boys Choir who sang Yesterday and I want it that way by The Backstreet Boys, following which the Junior String Ensemble entertained with a lively Baroque dance and to contrast the theme from Top Gun. The concert concluded with a rather stylish performance of the well known jazz classic, The Preacher given by the 3rd form jazz quartet.
