Sixth Former secures USA Scholarship

Congratulations to Bill H (Rt, UVI) who has been offered an Athletic Scholarship to Rollins College, Florida.  

Bill will be heading Stateside in September after securing the Scholarship to Rollins, which is located along the banks of Lake Virginia, where he will also be able to study International Business.  

Bill said: “Since I started to row at the RSSBC in Third form, my passion and drive to succeed has developed considerably, to the point when looking at universities, I set my sights on the USA but needed a scholarship. After a number of discussions with a select number of College’s in the states, I was delighted to receive an offer from Rollins College in Florida and I have accepted the offer. 

“I had shortlisted Rollins because the location is great, as is the weather when you spend a lot of time on outdoor sports! It primarily offers me a great opportunity to study International Business and I’m looking forward to experiencing the culture and college life they are clearly proud of. 

“I would like to express my huge thanks to everyone that has supported me on my journey and with my application and to offer a special thanks to Mr Hundermark, the Coaching team and Andy who have played a vital role in developing my passion, capability and attitude to excel in a highly competitive world.”
