Following one of the wettest winters in living memory, the cricket season is well and truly underway.

The hard work of the grounds team has enabled a wide range of training and games to take place, from our thriving house programme to fixtures against county opposition in the form of Warwickshire and Glamorgan.

The U15 and U18 girls have progressed serenely into the second round of the national cups, while the inaugural Girls' 2nd House competition has been a huge success. Aamna K (M, IV) and Millie P (MSH, IV) have starred with the bat, while Charlotte K (QEH, LVI) and Alice B (EDH, LVI) have been prolific with the ball.

Jack H (O, UVI) and Theo W (O, UVI) have appeared in the 2nd XI County Championship for Worcestershire and Warwickshire respectively, with Theo also striking a mammoth 150 in the 1st XI's stunning 177 run victory over perennial rivals Repton.

Shrewsbury emerged victorious in all 3 of the Repton, Sedbergh, and Bromsgrove block fixtures, while our development sides have also tasted victory over county opposition in the form of Warwickshire EPP, Myerscough College, Staffordshire U13, and North Wales U19.
