Over the coach weekend the Senior Boys and Girls travelled to Dorney Lake to race at the Wallingford Regatta.

The regatta provided a stern test for the crews in their preparations for the National Schools Regatta. The Senior Boys entered two Coxed Fours into the School Fours event. The crews had some close racing between each other and got off to the best possible start by placing first and second in their heat and both qualifying for the final.

In the final there was little to separate the two Shrewsbury crews once again with their positions reversed as they came through the finish line placing 3rd and 4th.

The Senior Girls' raced in the coxed and coxless fours events. The Coxless Four placed third in their heat with their time qualifying them into the top six to earn a place in the final. In the final the crew raced valiantly to try and retain the title they won last year but had to settle for 4th in the closing stages.

The Senior Girls' Coxed Four knew they faced a tough challenge to make the top six from eighteen to make the final. The girls put in a solid shift in their heat placing fifth but missed out on a place in the final.

The Senior Crews travel to Nottingham this weekend to race in the Notts City Regatta while the rest of the club remain behind to race in the Shrewsbury Regatta. The Club has seventy-six crews entered to race in the event over the course of the two days.
